Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can you mail the passport to me or can I pick it up before the event?

A: No, passports will not be mailed or distributed early. Passports will be available as early as 9:30 a.m. on the day at the event. Passports are available for pickup at the Town Square Gazebo located at 325 S. Main Street.

Q: Am I required to pickup the passport or can I just start the trail on my own?
A: Yes, the passport is what allows you to get tastings at each winery and is essentially your "ticket". You will also receive your souvenir wine glass when you pickup your passport as well.

Q: Can I buy the passport at any winery?
A: No. The only location that will be selling passports is at the Town Square Gazebo located at 325 S. Main Street. Passports will be available for sell from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Q: Are there shuttles to transport you between wineries or any wineries not located on Main Street?
A: No, there are no shuttles. Transportation must be arranged on your own.

Q: Am I required to go to the wineries in any certain order?
A: No, you are free to go through the Wine and Gallery trail in any order you desire!

Q: I didn't use all my tastings at one winery - can I use it at another winery or at another date?
A: No, the stamps on each page of your passport are non-transferable between wineries, and are only valid on April 18, 2020 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Q: I didn't use all my tastings - can I get a refund?
A: No refunds are issued for any unused tastings.

Q: Can I purchase more wine at any of the wineries?
A: Yes, however this will be at your own cost. Only the three 1-ounce tastings are included in your ticket price at each participating winery.

Q: It's raining - does the event still happen? Do I get a refund for inclement weather?
A: The event takes place rain or shine. We suggest to bring an umbrella or arrange transportation to drop you at the front door of each location if it is raining. Refunds are not issued for any reason.

Q: I heard there are designated drivers - how do I get one?
A: Unfortunately the Grapevine CVB does not provide designated drivers. However, there is a "Designated Driver" program which a person in your group can register for at the same time you pick up your passports at the Town Square Gazebo located at 325 S. Main Street. Designated drivers in your group will receive an identifying wrist band which will get them free water and food at each winery, as well as enter them into a drawing for a prize basket. (Drawing to be held on Monday, April 20) Drivers must be 18 or older and will be required to present a valid driver's license to register for the program and prize basket.
